I saw a 'Kandlestix' store on my last trip to Central Florida. Are you the same guys?

Yes and No. The Kandlestix bussines has been passed down to one of it's longest running carvers, Tony Cortes, who is now the new owner. Tony is doing his best to keep the tradition of hand crafted works of art alive as he picks up the torch.

Do you have a shop i can visit?

Unfortunately, we do not have a physical location at this time. We are working from home now, taking orders via email, phone (407-556-3383) or at our new Etsy shop.

what sizes do your candles come in?

Our standard sizes include Small Taper (7 inches) Pudgy (8 inch) and Medium Pudgy (10 Inch).

What colors can I choose?

Here is our basic color chart. If you need a different color or have to match a particular shade, just send us an example. We can match most colors.

Can I put words on my candle? or a photo?

We can place any phrase, date or poem onto our flat candle. If you'd like a photo, your wedding invitations or any other image on a candle, just email it to us. The higher the quality, the better.

Can I send you a photo or something else in the mail to go on a candle?

All images must be scanned and emailed to us for inclusion on custom candles.

I saw a specific candle in your custom gallery. Can you recreate that?

Are your candles scented?

No, our candles are not scented but there are two ways you can add whatever scents you like at home. During any burning of your candle, you can add one or two drops of your favorite essential oil or after pouring out some wax (see question below) a scented tealight can be used to refill your candle.

Will my candle drip or warp after use?

After carving, our candles are dipped in a special clear glaze that prevents the outside designs from melting or dripping. The inside of our ribbon candles do melt with use and that inner wax can be poured out to make room for househould tealights or battery opperated tealight. You can burn your Kandlestix candle with confidence knowing your design will stay in place. Our Mystery Mushrooms, which are our only unglazed candles, do melt so please remember to use a candle plate or holder.

Will my candle melt if left out?

The wax will only begin to melt at temperatures of 120 degrees or hotter, so in most cases your candle will be fine when on display.

What do I need to do for upkeep and cleaning of my candle?

Dust sticks to bare wax but not to glaze. A rag or duster will do the trick to keep your candle clean and in extreme cases, can be wiped off with a baby wipe. Please do not use spray cleaners or water on your candle.
